This is an innovative nonsurgical procedure that delivers bipolar radiofrequency (RF) technology to smaller, more delicate subdermal layers. How does Forma-I work?

Forma-I feels like a warm massage in the eye area, improving blood circulation. The small size applicator and precision RF depth control allow for treatment in small and delicate areas. Most patients state that it feels like a “hot-stone massage” and can't wait until their next treatment.

How many treatments do I need?

Patients typically need 4-6 treatments depending on severity of dry eye/desired results.

What is Forma-I used for?

Forma-I is used for dry eye treatment and management in patients with evaporative dry eye or meibomian gland dysfunction. It is also used to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes as well as improve the appearance of under eye “bags”.

Is there any downtime?

There is no downtime associated with Forma-I. You can resume normal day-to-day activities right away, including wearing makeup!
Are there any side effects?

Some temporary redness along the treatment area may occur from the heat. Most patients state that this resolves shortly after the treatment.

When will I see results?

Most patients experience improvement of dry eye symptoms as well as more improvement in fine lines/wrinkles and overall facial appearance after just one treatment. However, a full suite of treatments is recommended for optimal results. Each patient is different and the number of treatments necessary will be determined and recommended by your eye doctor.

Is Forma-I done with any other treatments?
